Pulse Canada is the Canadian association representing growers, traders, and processors of Canadian pulses. As the US representative, IBDC led the outreach effort in the US market to help develop the market for pea, lentils, and fava bean flours in the commercial US food manufacturer industry. Our team also recruited end-use manufacturers to an event based in Canada.

The Consulate of Los Angeles hired IBDC to recruit US retail representatives to participate in a panel session and “meet & greet” style meetings with Canadian food manufacturers for the Canadian Flavors Food Festival in November 2021. IBDC also helped organize in-person events at Expo West in 2022 and 2023 and recruited buyers and distributors to a panel and a B2B networking event.

Cooperl is a global meat cooperative specializing in the production and promotion of deli meats/charcuterie products. The company relied on IBDC to develop its US market entry strategy through store checks, a detailed market research and B2C focus groups.

Tasty Ribbon is a NY-based Italian gourmet food gift basket company. IBDC built the B2B strategy. The IBDC team is also the US business development arm for the company in the NY Metro area and manages their social media.

Food Loire is the economic development agency representing the agri-food & wine producers from the Loire region. The client asked our team to develop a US program as part of a US trade mission for a delegation of French, Spanish & Portuguese wineries in the US. We developed and led programming designed to bolster the delegation’s understanding of the US market, enhance the delegation’s experience at VinExpo America and prepare the companies for networking and relationship-building opportunities.

Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority (SREDA)
SREDA hired the IBDC team to conduct outreach in an effort to attract foreign direct investment from US-based companies to the City of Saskatoon and the surrounding region.
